About Us:
Children's Behavioral Services (CBS) is a multidisciplinary pediatric team providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Occupational Therapy (OT) to children in South Central Missouri. Since its opening in 2019 as a one-room operation, CBS has expanded to two state-of-the-art facilities featuring multiple treatment pods, inclusive classroom spaces, and custom sensory gyms. Our locations in Willow Springs and West Plains, Missouri, serve as hubs for innovative care, with plans to introduce Speech-Language Pathology and Physical Therapy in 2024. CBS is dedicated to delivering exceptional support in our clinics, local schools, and the homes of our clients.
**** Job Summary:
As a Behavior Technician , you will work directly with clients to implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will play a crucial role in helping clients develop essential skills, decrease challenging behaviors, and enhance their overall quality of life. Whether you have prior experience or are starting your career in behavior therapy, we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress during sessions.
- Provide support and encouragement to clients in various settings (home, school, community).
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Create a safe and positive environment that promotes learning and growth.
- Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in working with clients and families.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members about progress and challenges.
** **Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a behavioral health or educational setting is a plus.
- Passion for working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
