Senior Data Engineer - Finance

We are seeking an exceptional Finance Data Engineer to join our Finance team. As an integral member of the Finance team, our organization's overarching responsibilities are to deliver the highest caliber of relevant financial and business data infrastructure that is both robust and scalable, enabling effective decision-making at all levels of the company and improving our financial performance.
This is a critical position within the Finance organization, requiring expertise in data engineering, advanced tools, technical skills, and analytical capabilities, great attention to detail, and ability to execute to Company's timelines. It is a visible role within Finance for an energetic individual who thrives on inspiring change and impacting the business in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate financial data from various sources, enabling comprehensive end-to-end analytics of company processes.
Act as a data architect, guiding users to understand and apply the single source of truth while building strong partnerships across Finance and other groups.
Supporting and administrating data pipelines to support a single source of truth data repository for financial analytics to be used across the company, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and reliability for reporting and decision-making.
Act as a process and system liaison.
Architect and administrate our data warehouse for a wide-array of use cases for reporting, business intelligence, data analysis, and data science.
Develop and implement advanced data processing solutions using Python, SQL, and other relevant technologies to support financial analysis and reporting needs.
Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity, quality, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to find opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost reduction in financial data management.
What we need to see:
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on financial data modeling, ETL processes, and database management. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is essential.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
Demonstrated success in designing and implementing scalable data solutions that support financial reporting and analytics in a similar industry or role.
Experience in optimizing data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Deep understanding of data governance principles and experience implementing data quality measures in financial systems.
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, managing multiple priorities and leading technical initiatives.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with data lakehouse platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, particularly in financial contexts.
Knowledge or experience in reporting from or integrating financial systems such as SAP FICO, SAP RAR, SAP BW, SAP SD, SAP IBP, or Anaplan with data engineering solutions.

The base salary range is 96,000 USD - 195,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
