Fixed Income Production Support Lead

Job Description
Senior leader will be responsible for managing a team responsible for providing 24/7 technical support to Jefferies North America Fixed income trading operations, ensuring the stability and smooth functioning of production systems, resolving incidents, collaborating with development teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the fixed income trading platform, often requiring in-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and strong leadership skills to oversee a global team.
Key responsibilities include: Team Leadership:
Leading and managing a team of production support analysts across different time zones, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management. Incident Management:
Acting as the primary escalation point for production issues, identifying root causes, coordinating incident response, and ensuring timely resolution of critical system outages. Monitoring and Alerting:
Implementing robust monitoring systems to proactively identify potential issues, analyzing system health metrics, and taking corrective actions as needed. Exposure to OTEL, Datadog or any platform would be preferred. Problem Management:
Performing root cause analysis on recurring issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with development teams to implement fixes. Change Management:
Overseeing the deployment of new software releases, ensuring proper testing and change control procedures are followed to minimize disruption to production systems. Capacity Planning:
Monitoring system performance and capacity, identifying potential bottlenecks, and proactively scaling infrastructure to meet demand. Stakeholder Management:
Collaborating closely with front-office traders, portfolio managers, risk management teams, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and provide effective support. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
Maintaining comprehensive documentation on system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base to facilitate effective knowledge sharing within the team. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements related to production systems and data integrity. Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise: Minimum 15 years of capital markets experience.
Deep understanding of fixed income trading platforms like ION, Murex, Bloomberg TOMS, market data feeds, order management systems, and related technologies. Programming Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, SQL, and potentially other programming languages used within the trading infrastructure. Exposure to AWS is desirable. Financial Market Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of Capital Markets including Fixed Income Products (FX, Cash, Derivatives, Structured Products, Commodities, Loans and Futures). Knowledge of Fixed Income trading activities (Pricing, booking, execution, live risk, market risk, etc.), market data feeds. SRE:
Knowledge of SRE principles and adoption experience in previous roles. Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with technical and business stakeholders across different levels.
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $175,000-$275,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
