Partners Personnel/Professional is currently seeking candidates for a Logistics Data Analyst for our client located in Spartanburg SC. This position is a key role providing optimization for supply chain processes, evaluating key data and providing actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders. The selected candidate will have advanced analytical skills, Excel and logistics software, excellent communication and presentation skills and a background in logistics and supply chain processes and operations. The Temp to Hire role will be on site daily, 1st shift and part of a newly created role in which their impact will have lasting, positive results. Our client is a leader in logistics, warehousing and supply chain with location in multiple states and growing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze logistics data, including shipping schedules, inventory levels, and transportation costs, to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel models and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with logistics, operations, and procurement teams to optimize the supply chain
  • Generate detailed reports summarizing findings, trends, and actionable recommendations
  • Monitor and forecast inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or overages.
  • Utilize logistics software and ERP systems to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and measure their impact on efficiency and cost

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field. Or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in logistics, data analysis, or a similar role. •
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and other data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of freight and transportation management systems.
  • Understanding of global logistics and compliance requirements.
  • Work Environment: This role offers a mix of office-based work and occasional site visits to warehouses or logistics centers.

This position will be high focus and visibility since it is newly created. It should offer a great deal of growth and development for the right person. However, you must have the technical skills as experience shown due to there not being a trainer for this role- you will be establishing the position. There is an immediate need for filling this role .
