Workers Compensation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to clients. The candidate will handle a variety of responsibilities including legal research, drafting pleadings, client communication, and representing clients in court proceedings. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to clients on workers' compensation matters. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and settlement agreements. Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel. Draft and respond to discovery requests. Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trials. Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and depositions. Analyze legal issues and provide solutions to clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and case documentation. Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management. Meet billing goals and maintain detailed time records. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility to sit for the Bar exam. 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation law or related field preferred. Judicial clerkship experience or strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
