Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Represented by OliverJames OliverJames is currently representing a client in the Annuity & Life Insurance sector. Our client seeks a dynamic CFO to lead all accounting and regulatory compliance ("Bluebook" STAT Reporting), create strategic financial planning and oversee risk management. This position is ideal for a Life & Annuity Insurance professional ready to influence strategic direction and collaborate with executive leadership. The CFO will oversee the day-to-day Accounting and Finance operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The role involves building a high-performing finance team, leading daily accounting operations and providing financial, reinsurance, and risk management strategies to the leadership team. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the Insurance Industry and the Life & Annuity space and aptitude for collaborating with executive teams. Key Responsibilities Include:

Financial Strategy: Shaping and executing the financial strategy to support business growth. Financial Reporting: Leading financial reporting and ensuring compliance with industry regulations (Statutory "Bluebook"). Budgeting & Forecasting: Driving budgeting, forecasting, and analytical initiatives to enable informed decision-making. Risk Management: Overseeing risk management processes and enhancing frameworks for financial stability. Investment Management: Managing investments and optimizing the allocation of financial resources. Risk & Reinsurance: Supervising strategic risk transfer through effective reinsurance management. Team Leadership: Building and mentoring a high-performing finance team to drive operational efficiency. Executive Communication: Communicating key financial insights and strategies to leadership and stakeholders. Process Improvement: Continuously improving processes to increase efficiency and align with best practices. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred. Professional accounting designation (CPA required). 10+ years of Accounting and Finance experience in the insurance industry. Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards and industry-specific accounting practices.

"Bluebook" Statutory Reporting is Required. Expertise in risk management, reinsurance, financial planning and compliance. Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development.
