Job Overview: Flipside Crypto is seeking a Senior Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to join our fully remote team. You will play a critical role in managing the month-end close, overseeing T&E, AP, AR, and owning the crypto accounting subledger. You will also lead efforts to improve our existing NetSuite setup and other accounting tools to enhance efficiency as we continue to scale. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close:

Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financials, including reconciliations for fiat and crypto accounts. Analyze and review financial statements to identify discrepancies, and work with other team members to ensure they are resolved before final close. Coordinate with various teams (e.g., operations, finance) to ensure all relevant data is captured and accurately reflected in the financial reports.

Crypto Accounting:

Own the crypto accounting subledger, managing day-to-day accounting for digital assets including tracking transactions, reconciling balances, and ensuring accurate valuations. Implement and maintain robust controls for crypto-related transactions, adhering to relevant accounting standards. Collaborate with internal teams to stay updated on new crypto activities or changes in token management, integrating them into the financial reporting framework.

T&E, AP, and AR Management:

Oversee travel and expense (T&E) management, ensuring proper compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement. Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Drive process improvements for T&E, AP, and AR to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Systems Improvement:

Improve and optimize the usage of NetSuite and other accounting tools, enhancing workflow efficiency, automation, and accuracy in data management. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify areas where accounting software integrations can be enhanced or new features can be implemented. Provide training and guidance to team members on the optimal use of accounting systems and tools.

Audit & Compliance:

Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits, ensuring audit readiness throughout the year. Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Support external auditors by providing requested information, explaining processes, and addressing any issues that arise during the audit.

Requirements: 2-4 years of accounting experience, startup and/or public accounting experience preferred Strong experience in managing month-end close processes. Familiarity with managing T&E, AP, and AR functions. Interest or experience in crypto accounting. Experience with tools like NetSuite, Quickbooks, block explorers, crypto accounting subledgers CPA preferred but not required.
