The Opportunity
Kandji is looking for a
Community Manager
who is passionate about building and nurturing thriving communities within the IT and security space. You will define and execute a comprehensive strategy to activate and engage our IT and security professionals through online and in-person experiences. By organizing community events, meetups, and fostering meaningful connections, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Kandji’s brand as a trusted leader in the IT and security space. How you will make a difference day to day: Develop and execute community strategies that engage IT and security professionals, creating lasting relationships that align with our business goals. Organize and lead community events and meetups both online and in-person to foster interaction, education, and collaboration within the community. Launch and manage online community initiatives to drive ongoing engagement and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with the marketing, product, and sales teams to align community efforts with broader company objectives. Identify opportunities for community growth by listening to feedback and continuously refining your approach to meet the needs of our IT and security audience. Develop a community content plan to ensure a steady flow of relevant discussions, user-generated content, and educational resources. Track and report on key metrics related to community growth, engagement, and sentiment, sharing insights with leadership and key stakeholders. Actively engage with influencers, industry experts, and community leaders to broaden Kandji’s visibility in the IT and security space. Minimum qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in a community management, event management, or customer engagement role, preferably within the technology, SaaS, or security industries. Proven experience organizing and executing both online and in-person events and meetups. Deep understanding of community building principles, with the ability to create meaningful connections and experiences for members. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple community initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging and helping others. Experience working with online community platforms (e.g., forums, Slack, Discord, Reddit) and social media tools. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze community performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly. Self-starter with a proactive approach to growing and nurturing communities. Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product) to ensure community initiatives align with business goals. Preferred qualifications: Experience in the IT or cybersecurity space, with a deep understanding of the challenges and interests of professionals in these fields. Experience in influencer outreach and relationship building within tech communities. Proven track record of growing and managing successful communities in fast-paced environments.
