As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of our Nashville-based, in-home care business, you will be a key member of our executive team who will oversee all financial reporting, planning and analysis, forecasting, company audits and banking relationships. The CFO will collaborate with the CEO, executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and Private Equity Partners regarding financial strategy, operations, and future growth. CPA designation and home health industry experience preferred. We are a family of companies with more than 300 team members and annual operating revenue of $25 million. This is an office-based role at our headquarters located just west of the airport in Nashville, Tennessee. Overview of Responsibilities - Prepares and directs the preparation of all financial statements, including corporate budget, income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports. Maintains all ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger. Performs monthly reconciliations including cash reconciliation, accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits. Coordinates and completes the annual budgeting process working with Executive and Operations personnel. Closely monitors company cash flow and needs on a weekly basis. Creates and maintains a series of financial controls and procedures for the accounting department. Maintains financial statements monthly in an organized manner to facilitate a smooth annual audit process. Manages the audit process with corporate accounting firm. Focuses on continuous process improvement. Works with the CEO and other executives to identify ways to maximize efficiency by integrating various software systems. Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share. Collaborates with the CEO to identify opportunities for expansion into new geographical areas. Oversees management of funds and works with Board of Directors to raise additional capital required for expansion. You are the "Right Person" If You Have - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Minimum of ten (10) years’ accounting experience or relevant master’s degree with five (5) years’ accounting experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Experience in the healthcare industry; home health industry experience a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Sage Intacct accounting software experience preferred. Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
