Communications and Marketing Manager

The Position The Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and implementing all aspects of communications, marketing, and public relations for Holy Cross School, including developing and executing effective and strategic communications plans, policies and procedures that support the school's mission, values, and goals. The Communications and Marketing Manager engages and collaborates with individuals and teams across the organization, including Enrollment Management, Institutional Advancement, Event Planning, and others to generate and foster excellent internal and external communications, marketing, and public relations practices while building and strengthening relationships between Holy Cross School and its community of stakeholders.

This role is the primary contact for Holy Cross School communications and is a key brand ambassador for Holy Cross School in the community, ensuring families, community partners and other stakeholders view Holy Cross School as an outstanding Catholic school that prioritizes relationships and prepares our students for their future.

Ideal candidates will have a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong project management and leadership skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, inspiring, and committed to the mission of Holy Cross with eagerness to execute and perform communications, marketing, and public relations duties. Ideal candidates can independently anticipate communication challenges and opportunities and create and implement comprehensive communications strategies, best practices, and messages that promote the school's mission, values, and accomplishments.

The Communications and Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement. This is a twelve-month, exempt position with expectations of working additional hours as needed, including evenings and weekends, to support all school needs. This is especially true during the months of August through May.

Minimum Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field •5 years of professional experience with progressive responsibility; experience in independent school and/or education preferred. •Exceptional managerial and organizational skills with experience thriving in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment. •Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Website CMS, Social Media Platforms, and other industry-standard communications tools such as Constant Contact •Graphic design, photography, and editing skills. •Experience with budget management and resource allocation

Primary Duties & Responsibilities •Manages and executes all aspects of internal and external communications, marketing, and public relations. •Ensures all branding and communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the Holy Cross mission, values, and strategic plan. •Develops and disseminates written statements, press releases, news articles, web announcements, and other internal and external communication materials. •Generates and manages content for the school website, newsletter, social media, and other publications by authoring articles, creating graphics, taking photographs, and proofreading materials. •In partnership with executive leadership, develops emergency alerts and crisis and urgent communications for immediate dissemination. •Maintains relevant, current, and accurate communications and marketing materials and content, including website and social media content. •Contributes creative and marketing collateral to support enrollment management, fundraising, advancement, and development efforts. •Creates mass email communications, online registration forms, posters, brochures, social media posts, and other communications and marketing materials. •Cultivates new and existing relationships with various media contacts, vendors, and stakeholders. •Assists with event production and coordination for school-wide events and activities, as necessary. •Collaborates with Directors of Enrollment Management and Institutional Advancement, and others across the organization, to increase brand awareness in the community, effectively conveying the school value proposition and facilitating interest in Holy Cross. •Represents the Holy Cross brand while being an enthusiastic school ambassador, always looking to form new community connections and strengthen existing ones. •Represents Holy Cross at events, external meetings, and in media; Serve as spokesperson when required, representing Holy Cross as directed by executive leadership. •Contribute to the school community by attending school events and activities, creating a cohesive presence with Administration, Faculty, Staff, and the Student Body. •May supervise and mentor communications and marketing team members, including but not limited to development of goals and objectives, coaching, delegation, and performance evaluations. •Perform other duties, as necessary.

Compensation Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience and a comprehensive benefits package will be provided.
