Description
The IT Specialist will work closely with the IT Manager to support daily IT operations and assist in administrative tasks. This hybrid role involves providing first-level support to end-users, handling helpdesk requests, and managing IT-related administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong technical and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Helpdesk & Support: Provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner. Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment. Secure management of user accounts, passwords, and access permissions. Administrative Support:
Handle IT-related invoicing, procurement, and budget tracking. Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, task tracking, and coordination. Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, SOPs, and training materials. Track and monitor IT risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place. Take detailed notes during IT meetings and assist in follow-up actions. Management of IT equipment contracts General IT Operations:
Support the IT Manager in implementing IT strategies and projects. Assist in the monitoring of network performance, security, and backups. Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT services meet organizational needs. Other:

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required. •Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role. •Experience with IT administration, including invoicing, procurement, ticketing and budget tracking. •Familiarity with project management principles and tools. •Familiarity with risk assessment and management •Strong understanding of Windows and Mac OS environments. •Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. •Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. •Basic knowledge of network security practices and data backup solutions. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. •Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. •Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: •Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as needed. •Willingness to occasionally work outside of standard business hours for system maintenance or urgent issues.
