Partnership Activation Coordinator

SUMMARY The individual hired will work out of the corporate office at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. The individual in this position will be expected to help maintain key local relationships and support contract execution and activation fulfillment. Suitable for the role are proactive, detail oriented young professionals with a focus on in-person event execution. The Activation Coordinator will be instrumental in retaining the current partner portfolio through account management of select partners while supporting the Head of Partnership Activation with the remainder.This is a full-time, hybrid role with three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote. The Activation Coordinator will be expected to be on-site for each Chicago Sky home game & other in-market events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Retaining and growing all current partners by providing world-class customer experience. Work with the management team to develop and service partnerships including proposals, planning, execution, customer service, and proof of performances. Assist in the implementation of activations, including LEDs, social media, website banner ads, events, etc. Assist in maintaining and updating inventory asset trackers. Assist in maintaining and updating the Sky Corporate Partner database. Support the Partnerships team by preparing performance metrics reports, including social metrics, broadcast impressions, fan demographics, etc. Assist with and lead biweekly calls with partners, as well as sending recap emails to highlight key action items & follow-ups. Game day duties to be determined based on need and sponsorship activations. Must attend all home games (schedule currently posted). Attend networking and community events to build a book of business and community partnerships. Other duties as necessary and mandated by the management team. QUALIFICATIONS Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in marketing, business, sports business management, or communications.2 years of successful sponsorship-related (sales, activation, solutions, etc.) experience with demonstrated sales, project management, and execution skills, with an understanding of/experience in one or more of the following or related industries: sports, venues, music, entertainment. This experience unpaid/paid internships, part-time roles or graduate assistantships. Strategic and creative planning for potential corporate partners.Strong communication and attention to detail.Demonstrated success analyzing marketing strategy and developing "out-of-the-box" ideas. Creative problem solver with the ability to quickly understand brands/partners' business models and identify creative solutions for how to solve indicated KPIs.Highly driven self-starter, with the ability to work as a team or independently on projects. Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to manage long-term projects as well as quick turnaround assignments. Excellent written, verbal communication, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Values the "How" as much as the "What".
