WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Designer to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, and cultural relevance to help build and support the future of the Nike Brand Initiatives Creative team! The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, who doesn’t settle for anything less than the best creative solutions. They deliver coordinated design solutions across all appropriate channels. They have a passion for creativity and are committed to staying up to date with current and future trends and technology.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You'll focus on the consumer facing Brand experience of product, communication, digital, retail and collateral materials. You will also be responsible for small projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements. In this role you will be crafting all aspects of the look and feel of brand experiences for consumer touch points, in partnership with Brand Marketing and functional teams across Nike Brand Design. Under the direction of an Art Director, you will develop concepts with original designs and continue to evolve established design systems. You will create briefs and mood boards to develop the next generation of visual solutions for 2D and 3D execution for consumer experiences: branding, campaign, retail, digital, social, etc. You'll partner with Design management and Brand Marketing to ensure feasibility of designs, budget, functional (Brand, Retail, Digital, Social, Comms). You will also need to build inspirational presentation materials in keynote, and present concepts to teams and leaders.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will partner with the Art Director and Sr Designer, creative studio teammates, Brand Voice, Nike Digital and Retail Marketing, Merchandising, Global Styling, the Global Brand Imaging Studio, the Content Production teams and Geo/City Studios.
WHAT YOU BRING
5-7 years graphic design and art direction experience in branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment.
Bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A passion for the Athlete*, Sport and Culture.
Solid portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a seasoned background in digital and editorial design.
Under the direction of an Art Director, ability to create original design solutions for 2D and 3D execution for consumer experiences: branding, design systems, retail brand direction, social media and digital
Great knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production and publishing across editorial formats and platforms.
Thorough understanding of today’s media landscape and how people engage with content, with in-depth knowledge of interactive communication, processes and user-interface design for digital products.
Ability to collaborate with and creatively manage freelance design talent.
Ability as a mentor, with a knack and passion for helping everyone on the team to grow, improve, succeed, and advance toward collective and individual goals.
Ability to collaborate on team efforts while also working independently to deliver on individual responsibilities.
Proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.
Laser-sharp focus with ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
