Senior Corporate and Transactional Attorney
Our esteemed law firm based in Hackensack, New Jersey, seeks an experienced Senior Corporate and Transactional Attorney to enhance our dynamic team. This critical role involves handling complex transactions across corporate, mergers & acquisitions, securities, and finance sectors. Ideal candidates will be pivotal in driving client success, utilizing their substantial legal expertise to navigate sophisticated business landscapes, deliver strategic advice, and foster long-term client relationships.
Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and negotiate complex transactions in mergers, acquisitions, financing, and securities. Draft and review detailed contractual agreements and documentation. Advise and guide clients on a broad spectrum of corporate finance issues and compliance matters. Work closely with partners and clients to develop strategies that align with business goals. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of attorneys and paralegals to manage case prep and court proceedings. Contribute to firm's publications and seminars through thought leadership in corporate law. Minimum Position Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school with top academic credentials. Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate law, M&A, securities, or finance transactions. Current bar admission in New Jersey or applicable jurisdiction. Proven track record of managing and closing complex legal transactions. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or degrees related to business or corporate finance. Experience working within a large law firm environment. Proven ability to develop and mentor junior attorneys and support staff. Expertise in cross-border transactions. History of published work in reputable legal journals. Active participation in relevant professional associations. Skills: Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced understanding of corporate structuring and restructurings. Detailed-oriented with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively on complex projects. Effective time management skills with an ability to manage multiple deadlines.
