Position Summary

The Department of Pathology is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, full-time IT Support Tech 2 to join the department's IT team. The IT Support Tech 2, under the direction of the Systems/Network Analyst 2, will be responsible for routine computer installations and repairs, answering basic questions via phone, e-mail, or in person, sorting and processing work tickets, and helping with special projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of client technologies as well as a thorough understanding of IT service management principles and exceptional communication skills and customer service. They will also have expertise managing area-specific applications and device inventory best practices and solutions.

Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm with no weekends scheduled, there may be occasional overtime, or a flexible schedule may be required to meet deadlines/coordinate special events.

Conditions of Employment Specialty licensure/certification may be required, as specified by the department. Successful candidate may be subject to a criminal background check prior to starting work. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED;at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
