COMPANY: Our client is a $100M privately held design and build specialty construction firm with roughly 250 full-time employees. The company has been in business for over 40-years constructing lab research space or clean rooms for customers in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. SUMMARY The Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the executive leadership team. The CFO will lead a team of 8-10 professionals including the Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Finance, Tax Manager and supporting accounting and clerical staff. The CFO is responsible for bringing a strategic finance perspective to all business decisions and will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial activities of the Company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting and financial reporting, financing, forecasting, metrics refinement and monitoring, tax filing and compliance, legal, insurance and risk management, deal analysis and negotiations, other financial analyses and the assets and books of the company. RESPONSIBILITES Lead the development and execution of the company's financial strategy , ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Oversee financial operations , including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while maintaining strong internal controls. Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and executive leadership team to guide business decisions. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process at both the project level and overall annual corporate budget and 3-5 year strategic plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the companys growth objectives. Establish and maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, financial institutions and our ownership team. Oversee cash flow management , working capital optimization, and capital expenditure planning. Lead M&A activities, including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger financial strategy. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes , systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Mentor and develop the finance and accounting teams to build a high-performance culture. Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, ideally in a high-growth environment. Experience leading financial operations within a commercial construction company are a must. Strong knowledge of GAAP , financial reporting, and compliance. Execution of the Companys strategic plan including deployment of capital, service strategy, budgeting / forecasting and driving cost control. Advise senior management and other business leadership on the financial implications of business activities. Oversee tax-reporting functions, tax liability projections, tax strategy, and associated structuring.
