The Data Insights team is an integral part of our Portfolio Strategy and Insights team, providing strategic insights into the business to drive decision making. A Data analyst is responsible for acquiring, managing, manipulating and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns. The analyst will design, define and create extracts and reports that will be utilized by internal partners. They will work closely with those stakeholders to clearly understand project requirements on the front end and provide appropriate data interpretation on the back end.
Critical to this role are in-depth understanding of Enterprise wide reporting utilizing SQL, as well as advanced Excel and modeling skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate ideas and opportunities to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports
- Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns from databases
- Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize business and information needs
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in IT, finance, statistics, computer science or a related field required
- 2+ years of business analytics experience ideally supporting a sales and/or marketing organization
- Must be able to write select, update, delete, and insert statements with multiple table joins in SQL
- Experience with BI Solutions (e.g. Tableau, Birst, Power BI, Domo, Sisense etc.) and Advanced Excel and modeling skills preferred
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in healthcare is preferred
- A clear communicator able to make well-reasoned recommendations to all levels of the organization, from peers to executive leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence in order to achieve results
- Ability to work in a continually changing, customer-focused environment and to be simultaneously accountable to multiple peer team members
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
