Vice President, Learning & Development

is responsible for driving enhanced sales productivity and office profitability by focusing on three areas: Real Estate Sales Agent Training and Development, Real Estate Sales Manager Training and Development, and Broker/Owner Training and Development. The VP is responsible for working with brand leadership and the Learning Center of Excellence to develop and implement solutions which support growth through sales force expansion, productivity increases, profitability increases, and consistent brand representation. In addition to sales and management training programs, the VP of Learning and Development will establish programs providing best practices in recruiting and candidate selection, professional development, career path planning, coaching and mentoring, performance management, and succession planning. The VP will lead a Senior Trainer who will deliver solutions to brand employees and sales associates both online and in person. Responsibilities: Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills which generate interest in franchising/affiliating with the Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc. Real Estate brand (domestic and international prospects). Serve as subject matter expert in different areas of real estate sales, management and luxury service industries. Develop, implement, and oversee programs to identify organization capability gaps and develop strategic approach towards addressing those gaps. Provide constructive feedback for improving course/webinars developed by the Learning Center of Excellence. Maintain strategic alliances with industry and training organizations. Stay up to date with industry updates, training standards, adult learning styles and preferences, as well as blended/social learning techniques. Successful delivery and classroom management which results in survey NPS scores of 80% or higher. Provide recommendations for training survey collection for improving delivery and development. Anticipate, support and welcome continuous improvement to established training programs and platforms. Promote and attain sales associate and employee engagement in learning platforms. Work with senior leadership to provide development solutions and resources across regions and functions. Provide consulting and coaching services as required by the departmental leaders to optimize individual and team performance. Manage a senior trainer who is responsible for field delivery of company programs. Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of seven years’ experience in teaching or training; familiar with adult learning, instructional design and technology concepts. Proven track record in understanding and reaching real estate sales practitioners and how to deliver training to a diverse audience. Real estate experience in sales or management experience; preferably real estate learning/training space. Strategic thinker and visionary leader with strong business acumen. Past experience working with a luxury real estate, consumer or hospitality brand. Strong organization, administrative and time management skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships across the business and with affiliates. Work effectively with different personality styles. Demonstrated success in managing small and large classroom groups (both virtually and live). Strong collaborative and influencing skills. Strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentation and engaging class delivery skills for all individuals at the enterprise level. Experience planning and executing small and large training events is a plus. Ability to travel up to 50-60% of the time once travel restrictions lift. Must reside close to a major airport.
