Helena College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position as an Executive Director of Operations. The Executive Director of Operations reports directly to the Dean/CEO and is a member of the Dean’s Cabinet executive leadership team of Helena College. This position oversees the administrative functions of the campus, including: Facilities & Maintenance
Directly supervise Director of Facilities & Maintenance. Provide direction for deferred maintenance and construction needs of the campus in line with strategic plans. Work with affiliates and the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education to maintain Helena College’s long-range building plan. Participate in University of Montana facilities department meetings to ensure alignment with UM policies.
Human Resources
Provide direct supervision and mentorship to the HR generalist. Regularly communicate priorities and establish annual goals for HR operations. Effectively delegate work and ensure that deadlines are met. Support day-to-day operations during critical work periods. Act as a close partner with business units to identify changing business needs and implement solutions. Evaluate solutions for efficacy through reporting and feedback collection methods. Create, update, and publish process documentation. Ensure compliance with all employment regulations.
Safety & Security
Serve as Clery compliance and reporting officer. Act as liaison with local law enforcement and emergency response services. Oversee campus safety committee.
Risk Management
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive enterprise risk management program. Promote a strong culture of compliance and risk management within the College community.
Auxiliary Services
Campus Parking Services:
Manage ticketing and monitoring of parking lots. Rental Property:
Tenant management including advertising vacancies and selecting tenants. Retail Services:
Supervise all Campus Store employees and ensure adequate inventory.
This position will provide management and supervision of others, including classified staff and contract professionals. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles. Experience with long-range facility planning. Knowledge of and experience with collective bargaining processes. Understanding of principles and practices of governmental purchasing and procurement. Benefit and Salary Information: Salary: $85,000/year Benefits include a comprehensive group benefits package including insurance, retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, professional development, and wellness program.
