Vice President, Production Development

Overview:

As the VP of Production Development at Original X Productions, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and facilities development for all OGX productions globally. You will collaborate with Creative, Design, Production, Facilities, and Technical teams to coordinate efforts and support the successful delivery of each project.

*This is a remote role and can be located anywhere in the United States*

This role has 4 direct reports, including the Director of Production, Director of Site Development, Real Estate Development, and Head of Select International Production. Travel:

This role will travel approximately 30% of the time, based on production needs.

Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Facilitate the coordinated efforts of the production and facilities teams as each project develops. Set project goals with the team and coordinate work sprints based on feedback and direction from the SVP, Design and Production. Project Communication: Manage and coordinate project details, documents, and communication including managing RFIs, project submittals, and document control. Communicate and disseminate project details relative to production and facilities to internal and external teams. Project Estimating: Collaborate with Sr Manager of Production Finance to estimate new project budgets and expense forecasting based on contract commitments. Project Schedule Coordination: Oversee the development and approval of project milestone schedules, short term lookaheads, and emerging schedule adjustments. Including both construction and production schedules and workbacks. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track. Project Needs Assessment: Evaluate project development resources and needs, and provide appropriate strategic recommendations for project support and development. Vendor Management: Review and approve vendor contracts, scopes of work, deliverables, and payment schedules. Collaborate with the Manager of Vendor Operations to engage and contract external vendors and partners, ensuring deliverables meet project requirements and deadlines. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with design, creative, guest experience, and legal teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of projects. Post-Production Support: Provide support during the post-production phase, coordinating the delivery of final assets and managing any additional post-production needs. Project Bidding and RFPs: Oversee the administration and development of project RFPs to qualified bidders and oversee the project bidding process in collaboration with the Manager of Vendor Operations. Bid Leveling and Negotiations: Collaborate with SVP, Design and Production to review project bids and negotiate vendor fees and services. Project Reporting: Prepare and present reports and progress briefs to SVP, Design and Production as well as the corporate senior leadership on behalf of the production and facilities teams. Facilities Development: Working with the Real Estate and Facilities teams, oversee the selection and development of new venues in new markets. Set guidelines and objectives for new venues based on show production needs and required resources. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Theater/Performing Arts Management, Media Production, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proven track record of success in project management within the entertainment industry, with experience in immersive experiences, live theater, or location-based entertainment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools. Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Passion for storytelling and a deep appreciation for the creative process. Our team are guest experience focused storytellers who are passionate, strive for excellence, committed to safety, and value fun in everything they do! The salary range for this role considers a range of variables and may include but is not limited to; experience, training, skills sets, business needs, travel. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000- $140,000. This range has not been adjusted based on the geographic location of the successful incumbent.
