Job Summary

Responsible for the strategic direction of Field Operations for a Region, Area, or System. Reports Company's performance and project status to higher authority. Participates in formulating and administering Company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives. Drives change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results. Creates business strategy to focus on strengths, competitive advantage, and differentiation. Incorporates broad knowledge to address complex, unusual and critical issues. Develops long-term plans that impact the achievement of business results. Recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities. Demonstrates leadership versatility.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Reviews work from a relatively long-term perspective and against the function's goals. Translates corporate strategy and field priorities into short and mid-term objectives for the function.

Provides leadership to Fulfillment staff to ensure activities are performed optimally and in compliance with Company standards of quality and efficiency.

Oversees all financial management of the Fulfillment team, including operating expenses, capital budget, forecasting and strategic planning for the department.

Oversees the transition of centralized functions into the Fulfillment areas.

Articulates the impact of key metrics and utilize data to convey how the team is performing against the overall current plan.

Demonstrates a clear understanding of the organization's strengths and opportunities while staying abreast of competitive actions, market trends, and their implications to the business.

Provides guidance on budget implications to team members while balancing overall customer experience impacts.

Remains current on all technological and related advances in order to facilitate optimal productivity and accuracy for the drafting function.

Approves policies and major operating procedures.

Responsible for providing overall vision and direction to the Technical Operations department inclusive of day-to-day field fulfilment operations within the Region, including in-house and contractor field technicians as well as dispatch operations.

Responsible for metric reporting and forecasting, leading the organization through performance and process improvement, and setting overall budget and strategic direction. This position requires close coordination and strong working relationships with other regional functional departments as well as division.

Provide leadership to Field Operations and Fulfillment staff to ensure all customer installation and repair activity is performed in compliance with Company policies, business processes and quality standards.

Responsible for ensuring optimal assignment and routing of field technicians for customer activity to route the right technician to the home so that they can arrive in a timely manner.

Requires both effective management of daily activities and development of process improvements to address any identified deficiencies.

In concert with the Finance Team, responsible for annual budgeting and monthly forecast updates for operating expenses and capital expenditures.

Must build strong working relationship with regional peers, particularly those in Engineering,

Human Resources, Business Services and Finance, to ensure alignment on daily operations and strategic initiatives to achieve common business goals.

Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and operational processes for the department that meet or exceed industry standards.

Stay knowledgeable of competition and important emerging technologies and standards.

Establish a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, always challenging the team to find new ways to improve the customer experience and drive improved business performance.

Develop the departmental management team, building their capabilities as individuals and as a team and preparing future leaders for additional responsibilities.

Develop a strong working relationship with Divisional and Corporate functional leaders, ensuring alignment with Company's standards and objectives, and providing input and feedback on field operational challenges and support needs
