We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join the People Experience (PXT) Finance team. The PXT FP&A team provides strategic support to Amazon’s CFO and executive team (S-team) on enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting for headcount and employee expenses. We answer questions directly from Amazon leadership and give them the data and insights they need to make key decisions impacting all of Amazon.

Key job responsibilities This role will own: •Key month-end and quarter-end processes; •Planning processes including quarterly estimates, the annual operating plan/ 3-year forecast; •Our headcount transfer reporting system and deadlines; •Partnering with the Global Finance Technology team (GFT) to create and improve company-wide headcount planning and reporting systems; •Reporting and tracking on company-wide S-team goals; •Other exciting ad-hoc projects for our leadership team.

About the team The headcount FP&A team within the PXT Finance organization manages Amazon’s CFO and executive team (S-team) on enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting for headcount and employee expenses. We work closely with the finance technology team to build new headcount reporting and planning tools to improve the planning and reporting process for all Amazon business teams. We create new reporting views and insights for senior leadership to better understand drivers of headcount trends and make the right decisions or the business and our employees.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of controllership or compliance experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
