Be a part of a dynamic software development group at Verisk Extreme Event Solution, contributing to the design and development of scalable analytic solutions with high performance. You are expected to work in an agile team to plan and design new features, write clean, testable, and performant code, and create automatic tests. Please note, that this is a hybrid position that requires onsite presence in our Boston office, twice a week. Responsibilities: Contribute to development of cloud-based analytical algorithms, solutions, and tooling Enhance functional capabilities and performance of existing systems Analyze & solve difficult problems across the stack Design and write automatic test cases Maintain and contribute to testing, CI, and DevOps infrastructure Collaborate with team members Follow an agile development methodology Participate in product planning, requirements analysis, and documentation efforts Qualifications: Strong understanding of C++/object-oriented design & programming concepts. Good understanding of memory management and performance optimization Working experiences with AWS technologies Enthusiastic, passionate, quick learner with strong written and verbal communication skills Possess a positive attitude and ability to multi-task, stay organized in a dynamic and collaborative teamwork environment Experience in one or more of the following areas is a strong advantage: Distributed cloud-based applications development Parallel computing Algorithm design and development Low-level computer architecture Operating system internals Relational database technologies Message-oriented communication Developing Windows/Linux server-based applications using C++ C++, Python, C# Docker Education: BS Degree required in Computer Science (or equivalent) MS Degree preferred
