The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in our Marketing department by analyzing product & market trends, customer behavior, and campaign & product performance to help guide our marketing strategies in the life and health insurance sector. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure actionable insights are provided within a cadenced timeframe.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to product performance, marketing strategies, and customer behavior.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor performance, and customer needs within the life and health insurance sectors.
- Campaign Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics tools, providing recommendations for optimization.
- Reporting: Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders which translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python) and marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM software).
- Excellent understanding of marketing principles and strategies, particularly in the life and health insurance sectors.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to create and develop strong relationships with Sales/Marketing management partners.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
- Goal-oriented and personally accountable for results.
- Ability to adapt to ambiguous or unfamiliar terrain.
- Self-starter and motivated to learn, at times independently.
Travel Requirements:
This position may require light travel within a ten-mile radius from one office location to another as needed.
