Job Description
The Accounting Manager role, reporting to the Controller, involves hands-on leadership in financial reporting, including US GAAP accounting, oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, expense reporting and analysis, investments, and coordination of external audits. Additionally, this position will play a vital role in implementing financial systems and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage the preparation of combined financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Income, and Statement of Cash Flows. •Oversee and execute the monthly close process, ensuring timely completion with proper accruals, journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset and depreciation reconciliations, and account review and analysis. •Support the leadership team in completing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process. •Develop and implement internal controls, manage annual and monthly budgeting and cash flow projections, and serve as the main point of contact for special projects and analysis requests. •Manage treasury and cash flow, updating bank account cash balances weekly and preparing ACH and wire transfer transactions. •Review and recommend changes and improvements to financial and accounting policies, processes, and procedures to meet internal and external requirements, including implementing new financial systems, financial accounting, and budgeting processes. •Ensure compliance with financial covenants for all banking arrangements and act as the primary liaison for external auditors during operational and financial audits.
Requirements
Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field •CPA or CMA certification preferred •5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a management position •Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting •Experience with financial systems and software, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial issues •Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability •Experience with process improvement and implementation of new financial systems
