Location: Washington, DC/Hybrid
Are you an independent and self-motivated help desk support professional with virtual server experience?
The American Bankers Association (ABA), the organization representing banking institutions of all asset sizes and charter types, is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to support the Service Desk and ensure proper computer and accessory operation, enabling end users to accomplish business tasks effectively and efficiently.

As the Service Desk Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing projects and tasks necessary to support current or proposed ABA corporate end-user computing platforms. You will research, design, implement, and maintain the desktop workstations, mobile devices, and server-based applications at ABA, including receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests and escalating incidents when appropriate and necessary to maintain SLA expectations. You will engage in problem resolution involving the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as provide in-person, hands-on help at the desktop/laptop/accessory level. You will also support backend systems in support of the Service Desk and end users. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Service Desk.
Qualified candidates offer:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of six years of related experience providing help desk support
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including Windows (laptops & desktops) and Mac
- Experience with desktop and server operating systems
- Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
- Experience using Active Directory
- Experience with building and configuring virtual servers, especially using VMware

Salary range: $95,000 – $100,000
