Summary:
- We are looking for someone who can work independently, performing x-ray and CT procedures of varying frequency and facilitate patient throughput on designated shift performing multiple procedures on both adult acute and critically ill patients.
The primary responsibility of a CT Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patient's care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. Some common CT Technologist job duties and responsibilities include:
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
- Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
- Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
- Examining images to ensure they're usable
- Updating patient medical information
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
- Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
Qualifications And Requirements:
- STRONG CT SKILLS with Client 64-Slice CT Scanners REQUIRED for this COMBINED role performing both XRAY and CT procedures.
- REQUIRED - 3-5 years minimum CT AND X-ray experience in Outpatient AND Inpatient (including ER) settings as ARRT (R).
- EPIC experience helpful but not required.
- CT Registry strongly preferred.
- Patient population may include those with COVID-19.
- Evening and Overnight shift may or may not have additional staff working by side, so strong independent skills required.
- BLS (AHA) required.
- Candidate must be ARRT (R).
- ARRT (CT) desirable.
- Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
