The Accountant A Role Responsible for understanding and applying accounting principles and procedures, coordinating month end closing procedures, the analysis of financial information, and preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements within the framework of established accounting policies and procedures. Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end closing of the general ledger and ensures the balancing of all related accounts as well as related analysis including sales, SG&A, and price variance. Analyze inventory related activities for the corporation including participating in physical inventory. Assist in the verification of the accuracy and data integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages. Analyze and report actual to budget performance monthly for sales, margin, import variances and SG&A. Assist in the quarterly and year end audit, primarily related to working with external auditors to ensure they are receiving required documentation for financial audit. Assist management in special audits and other financial projects as requested by internal customers and NSK Ltd. Prepares and recommends improvements in systems and procedures. Consolidated financial statement preparation and review. Prepares Actual and Forecasted cash flows for the corporation. Qualifications This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 2 to 4 years of position-related experience. Preferably some public accounting experience. Excel skills are required including pivot tables and v-lookup. Knowledge of general accounting concepts and methods such as cash management processing, accounts payable/receivable, financial planning, analysis, and records management.
