**COVID-19 Procedures:
On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates, architects, and maintains Docker container and cloud native solutions
Modernizes applications into microservices and assists with implementing API management tools
Develops and manages effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data through the deployment process (i.e. development, testing, staging and production environments)
Work towards modernizing legacy applications to a cloud environment
Ability to adopt new technologies and move them from the prototype phase through production phase for enterprise use
Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
BS/BA OR AA/AS degree and 1 year related experience OR HS and 2 years related experience.
Experience providing web applications development support required
Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) experience required
Agile software development experience required
Desired:
AWS Native Services, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes, and/or Microservice experience highly desired
Working knowledge of DevOps support processes desired
Security Clearance:
Active secret clearance required. Interim secret clearance acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
BS/BA OR AA/AS degree and 1 year related experience OR HS and 2 years related experience.
