Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering and/or related field or equivalent experience, plus 5 years of related experience or Master's degree and 3 years of related experience.Clearance Requirements:Department of Defense SECRET clearance required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities for this PositionGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer.

This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.

General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Consults and collaborates with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applicationsCommunicates frequently with external customers and key stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop use cases, and provide end user supportLeads, plans, and executes projects, small initiativesDesigns creative prototypes according to specificationCreates test plans and test scriptsConducts functional and non-functional testingCoordinates and conducts user acceptance and regression testing on software and systemsTroubleshoots and debugs applicationsDocuments and reports issuesCreates and maintains end user documentation (User manuals, release notes)Performs other duties as directed
