Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required. Agile experience preferred.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The opportunity is waiting for you at GDMS as a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer.What you’ll be doingProviding Cybersecurity subject matter expertise (SME) as part of the Systems Engineering teamParticipating in requirements definition and design for cybersecurity-focused system improvementsAnalyzing system, functional and performance requirementsAuthoring test procedures and conduct systems integration and testAnalyzing problem tickets and determining expected system behavior and correctionsWhat you need to bring to the table:Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related degree/certificationHigh proficiency in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent oral and written communication skillsA strong work ethic and disciplineWhat sets you apart:Experience with defining or implementing cybersecurity system requirements and designExperience with DOORS or other requirements management toolsExperience working with the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS)Experience with Agile developmentKnowledge of requirements management and system modeling toolsAbility to sell your concepts and ideasCreative thinking with the ability to multi-taskAbility to work effectively in a collaborative (team) environmentAbility to quickly grasp and apply new informationAbility to handle more complex assignments as experience progressesSelf-motivated, engaged, continuously learning and looking for ways to improve thingsOne last thing:Department of Defense TBD security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected for the Entry-Level Systems Engineer position will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
