Location: Charlotte, NC
USC and GC only
Involved with installation, maintenance, advanced troubleshooting and administration of existing network systems. Trains end-users and responds to user inquiries. Sets up network security standards. Participates in major network installations and upgrades. Troubleshoots complex network problems. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Presents recommendations on network interfaces and configurations.
Skills required:
Experience monitoring and supporting network infrastructures Strong ability to diagnose network alerts, events or issues Understanding of common information architecture frameworks Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects with minimal supervision Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques Good oral and written communication skills, and ability to address conflict with others constructively Experience with Disaster Recovery plans and related technologies
Skills Preferred:
Previous customer service or helpdesk experience • Experience with Spectrum and SOI • Knowledge of optical and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities, and cabling; connectivity to both local and wide area networks (WAN) • Understanding of TCP/IP and end-to-end packet flow, packet capture, and port monitoring • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Experience required:
8+ Years with HS 4+ Years with 2+ Years with BS 0+ Years with MS
Additional information:
100% remote for the time being (subject to change), but candidate MUST be local, as they may be called into the office at short notice and at own cost Please note shift: Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesday 08:00 to 20:00 ET
