Job Summary
ResponsibilitiesMarket Analysis and Strategy:
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the mortgage lending industryDevelop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Identify and target potential clients, including mortgage brokers, real estate professionals, and financial institutionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored mortgage lending solutions
Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture partnerships with industry stakeholders, including real estate agencies, title companies, and legal firmsCollaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial referral programs and joint marketing initiatives
Sales and Revenue Growth:
Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue objectives by actively prospecting and closing new business dealsDevelop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, including tracking and reporting on sales activities
Product Knowledge and Compliance:
Stay current on mortgage lending products, regulatory requirements, and industry best practicesEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with underwriters, loan officers, and other internal teams to facilitate a seamless client onboarding and loan processing experienceProvide feedback and insights to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction
Knowledge and Skills Required
In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, loan origination processes, and industry regulationsStrong network of industry contacts and relationshipsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsResults-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamCredentials and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)Proven track record of success in business development within the mortgage lending industrySupervisory Responsibilities, If Any
