The Forklift Operator Operate and drive industrial forklift equipped to move materials around the warehouse and plant facilities. Support overall plant operations with moving components and/or equipment throughout the plant. Boxing and labeling products for distribution. Loading and unloading materials into trucks utilizing the forklift for shipping and receiving. Pushing and pulling carts and dollies with material as well as sorting and packing material for delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate forklifts, cranes, or other moving / lifting equipment
Inspect cargo areas for cleanliness or conditionMove materials, equipment, or suppliesLoad shipments, belongings, or materialsOperate vehicles or material-moving equipmentPosition material handling equipmentSecure cargoMark materials or objects for identificationWeigh materials to ensure compliance specificationsClean vehicles or vehicle componentsMaintain vehicles in good working conditionParticipate in the training process of entry-level relatedProvide support to Create, Edit or file product invoicesOperate packing or other material processing equipmentCoordinate material handling or movementInstall parts, assemblies, or attachments in handling equipmentMove levers or controls that operate lifting devicesInspect product load for accuracy and safely move itManually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehiclesPosition lifting devices under, over, or around loaded palletsWeigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labelsPerform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipmentOperate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machinesSignal workers to discharge, dump, or level materialsEducation & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GEDValid driver's license and acceptable driving record (required)Certifications (desired)Work Experience Requirements:
Experience as Forklift OperatorCertification by OSHEA standardsFamiliarity with industry standard equipmentKnowledgeable of safety proceduresSkills:
High degree of attentionTimely and Safely ways of proceed with tasksComputer Skills (Such as Data Entry and Microsoft Office)
Compensation: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour
