What are the primary responsibilities in the Sr. Software Engineer position?

Core responsibilities include designing real-time cloud processing solutions, implementing advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software, testing with real data, and providing applications to front-line customer facilities. You create effective user interfaces and data visualization tools. You also will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and mentor others engineers to grow in their technical abilities. A key responsibility is staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects. RRC personnel can expect to work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, and experience the direct mission feedback from the customer and seeing your project provide real-world contributions that make a significant difference. You're encouraged and expected to propose things that you believe will improve the applications and frameworks you're working in. The ability to work unsupervised with minimal direction and the ability to self-start is a must.

What required background will make you successful?

Highly proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readabilityHighly proficient in C++ and Python for engineering and scientific applications in LINUX environmentsExperience providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team member and mentoring other engineers to grow in their technical abilitiesDemonstrated ability to design the architecture of software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirementsDegree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceMinimum 15 years' experience in software engineering-related disciplineAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearanceUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred background:

DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)Agile development processes and leadershipWhere is the position located?

This position is located at our Centennial, CO office. Remote work/telework is not available for this position.

Compensation: Starts at $207,000 + benefits. Total compensation is based on qualifications and experience.Please note this range is specific to employees working in Colorado. Salary ranges for remote candidates working outside of Colorado can be subject to regionalized compensation based on their respective work location.
