Atkore forges relationships and shapes the future with breakthrough results, enhanced technology, and innovative product offerings.We are currently searching for a Fork Lift Operator to be based out of De Pere, WI. Reporting to the shift Supervisor, this person will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting material throughout warehouse and production areas and assisting production as needed.The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience operating a Fork Lift in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Load and unload semi-trucks, mills, and secondary operations machines.* Operate a Fork Lift to move and store product and raw materials.* Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Safety and Quality guidelines.* Comply with all site 5S standards and continuous improvement initiative.* Work with urgency and a professional attitude to meet customer demand and standards.* Accurately complete required shipping reporting and paperwork.* Read and understand detailed and complex work orders.* Read production tags and use scanning computer system.* Visually inspect parts for quality and surface defects to ensure quality compliance.* Recognize distribution channel problems and recommend corrective measures.* Troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively with entire staff.* Perform high quality work while meeting production efficiencies.* All other duties as assigned.Qualifications include:* Previous work experience operating a forklift or other similar equipment required.* Previous work experience in a manufacturing facility required.* Previous work experience with paperwork and scanning experience preferred.* Knowledge of lean production processes preferred.* Must be able to read a tape measure.* Must be able to visually inspect parts.* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints of varying complexity.* Must be able to add/subtract/multiply/divide.* Must be able to read and write.* Must be able to perform job while sitting and standing.* Must be able to lift material/parts from the floor.
