This person will also operate a forklift for receipt of materials and loading vans and flatbed trucks with pallets of finished goods. This position is required to assist in other work, including cleanup and other operational responsibilities, as assigned. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include but are not limited to the following: *(Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)** Forklift safety inspections.* Support production and housekeeping efforts of other Operators.* Support the production schedule.* Operate forklift for receipt of materials, place finished goods into inventory, and loading trucks.* Operate front-end loader.* Rework non-conforming stock including rewrapping and re-palletizing finished goods.* Monitor packaging area for cleanliness and perform housekeeping in all areas in the plant as required.* Assist other operators to make sure the packaging area is set up for the next shift.* Accurately complete production paperwork and equipment checklists daily.* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.**Qualifications****Education and Experience:*** Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.* May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.* Most positions require 0 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.* Technical positions may require up to 3 years of experience.*Compass Minerals is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
