Job Description
Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for small, medium and large businesses. The Operational Excellence (OE) team aims to ensure that GCS has a robust first line of defense, playing an active role in supporting the growth of business, meet its objectives and demonstrating an effective control framework.
This position will be part of the Operational Excellence team and will be responsible for assessment of the end-to-end control environment for the Business Financial portfolio in accordance with our company's risk appetite.
Responsibilities
:Support product owners in reviewing project process flows, capabilities overviews in creating and documenting their process.Document all artifacts and oversee the execution of the New Product Governance standards; including hosting meetings with key business partners, facilitating conversations with product teams and subject matter experts and completing key activities to meet deadlines as outlined in the governance standards.Work with the control team to developing and designing controls as well as tests of adherence to compliance regulations for Business Financial products.Defining and supporting integration with core OE programs, including Issue Management, New Product Approvals, Regulatory Enablement, Third-Party Risk Management, Sales Practices, Change Management Governance, Complaints ManagementWorking closely with Business Product teams to understand the products and processes and introduce the Client control framework.Working closely with control partners (including compliance, legal, privacy, information security, technology, fraud, credit risk, and Client National Bank) to implement control environment in accordance with company risk appetiteQualifications
Bachelor's Degree (required)4+ years' experience in Operational Risk, Operational Excellence, Compliance, Audit, Internal Control, Operations or a related discipline. (required)Experience in business process improvement, risk assessment, control design and development of control & process testing. (required)Proven project management skills with the ability to manage complex tasks (required)Strong relationship competencies, demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and manage through conflict and develop relationships to achieve successful outcomes with multiple senioritiesStrong team player, and self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple work streams under tie constraints and across geographical locations and ad-hoc tasks simultaneouslybility to build strategic partnerships with key stakeholdersStrong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey clear insight and thought leadershipStrong analytical capabilitiesHigh level of curiosity and ability to ask the "right questionsExperience with regulators or regulated entities as well as internal and external auditors is a plus
