Morfologica, Inc. is seeking several Unix Administrators who are willing to support established teams of software engineers at various Federal Facilities throughout Northern Virginia.
Qualified candidates must have prior experience with UNIX or Linux environments. This includes responsibility for the operating system software and its successful integration with the hardware and applications software of the major computing systems across an organization.
ONLY CANDIDATES WITH ACTIVE GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCES AND APPROPRIATE POLY WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Candidates must have several years of UNIX Administrator experience.
Responsibilities
Designs interfaces to external systemsDevelops test plans and proceduresEstablishes development, testing, staging, and operating environmentsMaintains relevant operating systems on all organizational computer systems and subsystemsMaintains and updates documentationManages software life cyclesPlans, tests, installs, and integrates new and upgraded versions of the relevant operating systems on organizational computer systems and subsystemsResolves systems software problems efficiently and accuratelyTests and integrates software and hardwareTroubleshoots problems that may involve applications and the networkKnowledge
Backup or archival softwareData base management systemsC; Microsoft Visual Basic; Prolog;Metadata managementMicrosoft Visual C# .NET; Perl; Java; Sybase PowerBuilderHard disk arraysHard disk drives
