Position Overview: Edgesource is seeking a

Cloud Engineer

to work onsite in the Reston, VA area in analyzing, evaluating, integrating, and managing cloud-based systems to support an IC customer for Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) and supporting mission-driven Information Technology, Infrastructure Solutions and Services, and Commodity Support. The program will be responsible for operating and maintaining mission critical CT IT applications and systems, while rapidly enhancing IT capabilities. The contract will be responsible for system integration across customer development and O&M activities, providing analysis and engineering services in a consulting capacity, working closely with the customer to translate operational requirements into configured systems, integrating the technical inputs of the entire design team, managing interfaces, characterizing and managing technical risk, transitioning technology from the technology base into program specific efforts, and verifying that designs meet operational needs.

Job Duties:Provide cloud engineering expertise to design and deliver complete mission systems (infrastructure, platform, applications, process) solutions within the cloudProvide guidance and mentorship to develop teams to build cloud competenciesEstablish standard policy and compliance metrics by which cloud environment operations will be monitored, corrective responses issued, and reportedApply Zero Trust Architecture and build sustainment standardsConduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and System level verification activitiesEnsure products are capable of satisfying mission requirements and performance standardsIdentify integration risk and perform IV&V and system integration testing across all phases of system implementation, development, and O&MDevelop, maintain, deliver, and execute test plans and procedures that verify and validate incremental capability deliveryDeliver documentation and analysis of test verification resultsRequired Qualifications:

Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearanceCandidate must have 5-8 years of relevant experience (technical and programmatic integration or related)Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)Experience with software engineering, design architecture, analyzing hardware and software solutionsDesired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

Working collaboratively in a team environmentExperience with Confluence, SharePoint, JIRAExperience across the program life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, test, and sustainment)Program Management Professional (PMP) certificationEnterprise Architecture certification (TOGAF)Cloud certification (Azure, AWS)Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM background
