WEI is your strategic IT partner delivering custom, innovative business technology solutions that deliver real business outcomes.This position is for a Senior Network Engineer focusing on the hands-on design, integration and implementation of Campus wired and edge networking solutions.

Responsibilities :

Researches and stays abreast of the latest Aruba, Juniper, Cisco network equipment, including next generation routing, switching and SDN components.Subject Matter Expert (SME) working with Presales Engineers in defining network architectures and creating tasks lists and level of effort for the deployment of those networks.Responsible for the delivery of network planning, design, & implementation within the context of various projects.Lead the delivery of network solutions including LAN, WAN, SDN Platforms, and other network hardware appliances.Oversee/perform new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.Work with discipline leads and/or Pre-Sales Engineering to assist in developing and delivering training, demos, presentations, and updates on new services and solutions.Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) to all management levels within customer organization.Mature, self-starting individual seeking an opportunity of minimal supervisory guidance.

General Knowledge and Skills areas :

Minimum (5) five years of network engineering and network architecture related experience with in-depth exposure in designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex networks within a large enterprise environment.1-2 years of experience supporting the deployment of fabric-enabled campus infrastructures and the migration of customer networks in both greenfield and brownfield environments.Strong working knowledge of both legacy and next generation campus routing, switching protocols and technologies.Proven experience in design and implementation of enterprise class LAN and WAN solutions.Ability to write and implement scripts appropriate for network automation.Familiarity with blueprints/architectural drawings and general construction terms; ability to assess, produce, and/or modify proposals documented in this way and assure they will meet requirements to clearly present to landlords and general contractors.Familiarity with business statistics and creation of charts/tables to present information.Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Visio, (Microsoft Access and Microsoft Project a plus).Knowledge and experience with current IT standards and basic security measures/requirements.Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle and ability to lift up to 35lbs & push 65lbs.Knowledge of Network technologies:

Expert in route & switch. Solid understanding of Campus wired solutions as well as the corresponding SDN platforms. Examples below:

Juniper EX series & MISTAruba CX series & CentralCisco Catalyst 9K series & DNA Center

Experience with Cisco Routers, WAN and SD-WAN & Internet technologies.Experience performing network assessments, packet captures and analyzing Ethernet and TCPIP protocols.Experience with Network Visibility tools such as Cisco Thousand Eyes or equivalent products

Education and/or Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.Cisco Certifications: Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, Juniper JNCIP-Ent preferred, but not required.Other Networking certifications and experience is a plus. (i.e. F5, Infoblox, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba)
