Our enterprise-level client needs a 100% remote IT Operations Engineer ASAP.

Overview:Ensures infrastructure is functioning optimally, support the company's business objectives, and conform to corporate policies and industry practices:• Technical Operations• Proficient in Tomcat, Apache, and IIS• Proficient in Linux and Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating Systems• Proficient in VMWare vSphere, and application and desktop virtualization• Proficient in database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Access and Visio• Ability to work remotely and after hours if needed• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing• Possess strong organizational and time management skills• Use of the utmost discretion in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information

Responsibilities:• Manage and maintain all aspects of firm wide virtual environments, including VMWare vSphere, WorkspaceOne, and application/desktop virtualization.• Manage and maintain Java environments including Tomcat application server and application container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.• Manage and maintain operations to ensure success of overnight processing and daily custodial data downloads.• Manage and maintain data feeds and system configurations as necessary including data source configs within the SaaS Platform.• Manage and maintain hosted Exchange infrastructure in Office365.• Manage and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery technologies including offsite replication of storage and database systems.• Manage and maintain storage infrastructure including EMC SANs, Data Domains, and various backup and disaster recovery technologies.• Manage and maintain system monitoring solutions and related software.• Participate in assessing emerging technologies while staying current with infrastructure trends and best practices.• Participate in afterhours Infrastructure projects as need and perform testing relevant testing within scheduled maintenance windows.• Participate in maintaining standard operating procedures for all enterprise technologies, systems, and applications.• Analyze existing workflows and identify areas that can be improved, while implementing these new efficiencies into production.• Provide 24/7 support as necessary while adhering to change management and documentation requirements.• Interface with business teams to facilitate business initiatives.
