The Business and Client Technologies team are responsible for developing technology solutions supporting Arrowstreet Capital's Marketing & Reporting, Funds, Finance, Client Management and HR teams. We leverage technology to automate business processes introducing solutions using a combination of custom development and packaged platforms. The Marketing & Reporting IT team provides services and capabilities to our business users that are essential to the firm's ability to deliver sustained alpha and to meet our fiduciary commitment to our clients. This team supports all reporting obligations to our clients, as well the management and reporting of the firm's performance. Arrowstreet Capital is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a highly talented and motivated group of engineers, who build and maintain applications that support the Marketing & Reporting team at Arrowstreet. This is a critical role that brings significant value to our clients and internal business partners.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven, team-oriented, accomplished hands-on engineer with previous experience in building technology in the financial services industry, who has a passion for improving software architecture and the development process. They are a creative problem-solver who enjoys working on complex problems as part of a team. They are a leader who drives technology adoption. Collaboration with other development leads and teams within Business and Client Technologies and the broader IT team is a critical part of the success in this role. Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to join one of our agile teams who will be responsible for the following:

Engage with business and technology leaders to understand strategy, articulate solution options, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence key decisionsLead adoption of cloud-native technology designs and solutionsDeliver high-quality value-added enhancements to existing platformsAutomate the software development, testing and deployment processParticipate as an engaged member of an agile development teamCollaborate with other groups including developers, DBAs, network engineers, quality assurance and third party vendors / consultantsEmbrace development best practices including continuous delivery, test automation, containerizationCreate and maintain documentation that is thorough, complete, and of a professional caliberSupport production escalations with urgencyQualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldHands-on coding experience C# .Net CoreLeadership and collaboration mindsetStrong, creative problem-solving abilitiesStrong background in modern technology architecture and adherence to standard design principlesExperience with unit testing, isolation frameworks, and behavior/domain driven developmentTechnology stack design and development experience in:Server-side development in Python and C# using .Net CoreObject Relational Models libraries such as Dapper and Entity FrameworkASP.NET/Core Web API'sAngular, React, or similar modern UI frameworkHTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQueryDatabase design and development in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, MySQL, or NoSQLAWS Services including S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2 and EKSGit source code managementExperience with CI/CD pipelines with Azure/AWS DevOps and/or GitLab/GitHubGreat communication & organizational skills, drive, energy, enthusiasm, maturity, and confidenceExperience in Financial ServicesExperience with Docker and/or KubernetesExperience with the ELK stack
