The Application Engineer is responsible for the generation of new equipment proposals that Comply with our customer's specifications. In addition, the Applications Engineer supports the outside sales team with technical consultation and equipment sizing to develop large custom industrial equipment projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:Review customer RFQs and specifications to identify appropriate product offerings to meet the customer's goalsIdentify areas where LDX Solutions competitive advantages can be highlighted, either through our existing products or alternate arrangementsPreparation of technical proposals for all Air Pollution Control products, including Fabric Filters, Baghouses, Circulating Dry Scrubbers, Wet ESPs, and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers.Perform process engineering and equipment sizing calculations to ensure the appropriate sizing and specification for LDX equipment being offered as part of the proposal.Generate bills of material, estimates, technical datasheets, P&IDs, project schedule and other proposal documents that support the clients' needs while adhering to LDX Solutions pricing and proposal guidelinesWork with our vendors and suppliers to get cost estimates for the planned equipmentTechnical correspondence with Clients to help in clarifying the customers intent of a RFQ packageWork with the Design Engineers to get general arrangement drawings createdProduce for submittal prior to the RFP deadline an accurate, all inclusive, high-quality proposal that encompasses all project requirementsTravel with Sales Managers as required to customer sites to provide technical support for pre-bid meetings and proposal presentationsSkills & Abilities:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteAdvanced technical aptitude and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate via all mediums, internally and externallyAbility to prioritize multiple projects at once and meet aggressive deadlinesDesire to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented environmentDetail-oriented with strong time management and organization skillsAbility to apply engineering and business principles and practices in day-to-day decision makingSelf-motivated individual with a desire to learn and grow in a professional environmentQualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years experience in the design of heavy industrial equipment.Prior experience in design and cost estimating of industrial process equipmentPrior experience with sizing and design of Air Pollution Control equipment strongly preferred
