Our Engineering team at the Livewire Labs facility located in Mountain View, CA has an opening for a Sr. Software Validation Engineer, OnBoard Charger. This open position requires a relentless drive to success while working in an efficient, dynamic and agile systems focused engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with OnBoard Charger(OBC) Component owners and Design engineers to define, develop, and execute hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) tests validating all software requirements.Develop and implement custom test functions and sequences using National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW, Veristand, and TestStandProvide clear documentation of test cases, test results and analysis of OBC software functions.Interface with other components of the vehicle to make sure OBC integrates well with the rest of the system.Lead complete regression testing of OBC Software for each release.Troubleshoot all issues that arises with the OBC functions and drive root cause analysis.Develop automation of test case execution with reportingUtilize third-party software tools to log and share data with other test labs within LiveWireEducation Required

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar studies.Experience Required

Proven track record of software validation experience with power electronic converters or motor drivesDeep understanding of hardware and software functions related to power electronic converters.Good experience working with vehicle communications networks and protocols (CAN, UDS)Familiarity with J1772, ISO26262, different DC Fast charging standards etc.Experience in software development process associated with automotive type embedded systems.Excellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.Minimum 5 years in a related role.Experience in the following is also preferred:

Pay Range: $103,680 - $160,800

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
