Our major banking client in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a qualified Scrum Master to fulfill a 6+ month contract.
This position is hybrid with 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:Manage project(s) utilizing standard project management tools and techniquesServe as Scrum Master for multiple projectsEstablish and utilize a comprehensive project plan to monitor and report project deliverablesCoordinate in resolving issues, addressing risks; escalate concerns, and facilitate decision-makingDevelop and implement key metrics to measure/report the progress and value of the projectConduct/Steer different scrum events such as Daily Standup, Grooming and Planning, Demo, Retrospective/Lesson Learned session to help implement departmental vision of AgileNurture an environment where project issues can be raised without any fear of blame, or being judgedWork with management to achieve efficiencies across multiple projects and to implement lesson learnedWork with intra/inter-departmental Project Manages and Scrum Masters to facilitate dependenciesProvide concise project status report in a different form with appropriate details considering the audience (project team, stakeholders and executives) in a regular or as requested basisCreate and maintain 'as is' or 'to be' workflow and other system documentation for ongoing projectProactively identify trends in project implementation and recommend process improvementOther responsibilities as assigned by department managementRequired Qualification:
IT Project Management experience (3+ years)Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodology (3+ years)Hands-on Scrum Master experience (2+ years)Experience working with tools VSTS, ALM, Jira or Version OneStrong ability to partner with cross-functional teams to deliver project goalsDiplomatic, flexible, and 'easy to work with' personalityStrong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to perform planning for multiple initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to provide services to meet business needs within the timeline and the budgetAbility to effectively manage project scope, and communicate with partners in IT, business, and vendorsGood computer skills, including experience in tools like MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and othersHands-on experience with any agile collaboration tool(s)Preferred Qualification:
PPM CertificationPSM/CSM CertificationPrior Banking domain experienceNotes:3-5 years of experience with IT Project Management, Agile/Scrum, Scrum Master. PPM, PSM, CSM certifications preferred. Prior banking experience preferred.
