Position Overview:As a Business Development Representative for North America Freight Forwarding, is responsible for executing CJ Logistics (CJL) business development process, which focuses on designing and adapting supply chain solutions that are based on customer needs within International Freight Forwarding. Reporting to the Managing Director of Freight Forwarding, the Business Development

Representative will track and pursue proposals to customers that can deliver value and help them achieve their goals. Represent the company to the marketplace through industry events, the RFP process, conferences, and other lead-generating activities.Salary: $65-$75K with commissionEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFind & develop qualified leads (cold calling), then convert them through the sales process into prospects and customersContinuously keep the sales pipeline full with deals at various types and stages, including fresh/new (qualified) leads/introductions, mid/late-stage sales life cycle targetsPerform regular visits to qualified prospects and customers to drive the business and grow the company's revenue, market share, and profitabilityEstablish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationshipsEffectively navigate a prospect's organization and utilize CJL resources to best position CJL with all the decision-makers and influencersUnderstand the business direction and trends related to the customer's industry domainEarn customer commitment to include CJLs in their next freight forwarding suppy chain opportunityStay in communication with key decision-makers through value-driven communicationsOrchestrate events during the sales cycle (meetings, tours, workshops) that enable each customer to experience CJL's culture, leadership, and passion firsthandDevelop an understanding of each customer's supply chain operation and match CJL solutions with that understanding to generate high-impact, customer-centric proposalsManage business development and delivery objectives with new customersDevelop customized value propositions that summarize CJL's benefits in customer termsAdditional duties as assignedRequirements and QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related disciplines is preferredA minimum of 4-7 years of experience in a client-facing role or account management role.Experience selling engagementsProven ability to generate leads and move them through the sales processExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively along vertical and horizontal planes internally and in client organizationsDetail-oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignmentsProblem-solving skills with an aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implicationsFlexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and audiencesTravel as needed up to 40%Pay, Benefits and More:Competitive compensation packageFull health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), Life insurance, tuition
