Malvern offers expert and caring behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.

We are currently hiring Outpatient Therapists to join our Trevose Outpatient Services Department. At our Trevose office we service Bucks County and Philadelphia County communities in:Outpatient TherapySchool-Based Outpatient TherapyIBHSPsychiatric ServicesPosition Summary:

The Outpatient Therapist provides individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. He/She will assist the individual to promote independence in managing mental health needs and/or behavior problems. This postion can be a full time or part time position depending on the applicants availabilty as well as a possibility of hybrid at the discretion of the program director.

Provide therapy (individual, family or group) to clients on a regularly scheduled basisComplete all paperwork within policy time framesAttend all staff meetingsMake referrals to appropriate community resourcesTransfer skills to client to promote independenceComply with all state mandated regulations and all training requirementsParticipates in supervision within policy time framesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications

Supervisory Responsibility:

N/AEducation and/or Experience:

A licensed mental health clinician (including psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, or social worker) with a graduate degree that required a clinical/ mental health direct service practicum

OR

Master's level prepared candidate with a degree in a related field that required a clinical/ mental health direct service practicum

OR

Bachelor's level prepared candidate with a degree in a related field.Individual and family therapy experienceKnowledge of mental health systems and community resourcesMust be able to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions. Hazards include risk of exposure to disease and risk of physical injury associated with psychiatric patients who have the potential to act out or lose controlCredentials and Special/Technical Skills:

Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI and State Criminal, CPR and First Aid
