What you will do as an Executive Director:
Plan, implement and evaluate nursing, medication and personal care services to maximize residents’ health potential, to meet residents’ medical care needs and to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
Plan, implement and evaluate a documentation system for resident care that meets regulatory guidelines, company policies and procedures, and that ensures maximized cost reimbursement.
Participate in the management of financial operations of the facility as delegated by Corporate President/Manager in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, statutes, and regulations that govern assisted living facilities and established company policies and procedures.
Plan, implement and evaluate a system for recruiting, orienting, training, evaluating, retaining and scheduling sufficient numbers of competent staff to provide all services in accordance with required staffing ratios based on the needs of residents living in the facility, the size and layout of the facility, and with applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
Ensure employee compliance with the company’s personnel and operational policies and procedures. Monitor written policies and procedures for their effectiveness and compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, statutes, and regulations that govern assisted living facilities. Make recommendations for revision as indicated. Interpret company’s policies and procedures to employees, family members, government agencies, etc. as necessary.

Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR, Varicella and Influenza.
A current, valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record that is satisfactory to the company may be required.
Strong command of the English language with the ability to follow oral and written instructions with precision.
Must have successfully completed a Department approved training program for administrators or be licensed by the Nursing Home Administrator’s Licensing Board as a Residential Care Administrator.
Must participate in at least twelve (12) classroom hours of continuing education annually in areas related to care of the population served by the facility.
