The primary focus will be researching and developing feasible algorithmic solutions to our sponsor’s complex problems given large sets of multivariate data.You will:Designing, developing, and researching machine learning systems, models, and schemesStudying, transforming, and applying state-of-the-art machine learning prototypes to sponsor specific domainsSearching and selecting appropriate data sets before performing data collection and data modelingVisualizing data for deeper insightsGenerating and presenting technical research reports and briefingsPerforming statistical analysis in support of pattern of life and anomaly detectionPerforming data fusion and correlationBuilding high quality software prototypes integrated with our various research and pre-production software environmentsThe selected candidates will assume a technical leadership role and will interact with other ARL staff and sponsors, spending a majority of the time working in a classified environment in State College, PA or Reston, VA.ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.This position can be filled at multiple levels, depending upon your education and experience.  Typical requirements include Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline; 5+ years related experience. Additional experience and/or education are required for higher level jobs. A Master's degree in a related engineering discipline is highly desired. Additional responsibilities of the senior professional level will include:·   Serve as a lead for multiple research projects   Prepare and deliver presentations on complex research topicsExperience in the following is required: Data science/algorithm development Data science / Machine Learning languages to include PythonResearch, development and implementation of novel machine learning modelsAbility to present complex technical topics to wide range of audiencesExperience in the following is preferred: Training and optimizing ML algorithms on GPU hardware architectures, specifically NVIDIA basedWorking with geo-spatial dataStatistics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebraExploratory data analysis and visualizationData science / Machine Learning tools to include Pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow, NumPy, MatPlotLib, PostGreSQL, FastAPISoftware Development tools to include Git, Docker, Kubernetes, SSHActive TS/SCI ClearanceCandidates selected will be subject to a government security investigation.
